Badging
Anyone needing airfield access at Barkley Regional Airport must complete the appropriate application, provided below, and email it to carol@flybarkley.com.
Which badge do I need?
- SIDA Badge — Required for contractors, subcontractors, Airport employees, or FBO staff who need access to the secure area around the terminal.
- AOA Badge — Required for contractors, subcontractors, and anyone who owns, operates, or staffs a based aircraft on the airfield.

Fees
- Contractor AOA Badge: $125*
- Other AOA Badges: $50
- Contractor SIDA Badge: $250*
- Other SIDA Badges: $105
* Contractor deposit: All airport project contractor badges require a $350 deposit in addition to the badge cost. The deposit is refunded after the project is complete and all badges are returned to the Airport Office.

- Schedule your appointment: Contact the Administrative Office at (270) 744-0521 or carol@flybarkley.com.
- Bring identification: Provide a birth certificate or Social Security card AND a driver’s license or passport (or other acceptable ID listed on the application form).
- Complete driver training: All badges require completion of a driver training course appropriate to your operations. To confirm your required course and arrange training, please email carol@flybarkley.com.

Air Traffic
Control Tower
Barkley Regional’s tower participates in the FAA Contract Tower Program. The airfield and surrounding airspace are tower-controlled 6:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m. CST daily, staffed year-round by Ci2 ATC.
- Airspace: Tower oversees all airspace below 5,000’ MSL within a 5-mile radius of the airport.
- Requirement: Any aircraft operating in this area must contact the tower.

Operating Near PAH
Drones are not permitted to fly at any altitude within five (5) miles of Barkley Regional Airport without a waiver and/or permission from ATC.
Remote ID – Are You Ready?
- The FAA’s enforcement discretion period ended March 16, 2024.
- Most drones that are registered or required to be registered must broadcast Remote ID.
- Applies to recreational, business, public safety, and foreign-registered drones that require registration.
